Subscription or pay once?

A small monthly price can cost more than a one-time price within months. Enter what you see on the App Store to compare them over 1, 3 and 5 years.

Leave it empty for a free app.

How it works

A monthly subscription is counted twelve times a year. A one-time price is counted once, whatever the number of years.

Prices change and differ by country. This adds up what you enter and doesn't include price rises or currency changes.

Common questions

Is a subscription or a one-time purchase cheaper?

It depends on how long you use the app. A subscription of 4.99 a month costs 299.40 over five years, so a one-time price is usually cheaper over a long time.

How do I work out the cost of a subscription?

Multiply a monthly price by 12 to get the yearly cost, then by the number of years.
