Siri and Shortcuts BETA

Ask Siri to log a dose, tell you what is due next or check whether you have taken something today. This is a first version, so please tell us how it goes.

Good to know

• Use the medication name as it appears in Cadence. If you leave the name out, Siri asks which one.
• Your iPhone needs to be unlocked, because Siri reads medication names aloud.
• For an as-needed medication, Siri asks before logging a dose that is inside its gap or over its daily limit. It never blocks you.
• If a medication is not due yet, Siri tells you when it is due instead of logging it.
• On iOS 18 and later, your current medication names are added to your iPhone's search so Siri can match them. They also show in Spotlight under Cadence.
• The phrases also work in German, Spanish, French, Greek, Italian and Simplified Chinese.

In the Shortcuts app

The same three actions are in the Shortcuts app under Cadence: Log a Dose, What's Due Next and Did I Take It?. Add them to your own shortcuts, the Action button or a Home Screen icon.
