Where Pill Reminder All in One is the better choice
- Lowest full price. If you need more than 2 reminders, US$2.99 once is a small cost and it covers the reminders themselves.
- iPad. The app runs natively on iPad. Cadence is iPhone and Apple Watch.
- Several people in one app. You can add medications for yourself, family members or others you care for.
- Pre-alarms and more alarm sounds. It can notify you before the set time and has 33 built-in sounds.
Where Cadence is the better choice
- A free version with no reminder limit. Every medication you add gets its reminders without paying.
- Apple Watch. Cadence has a Watch app for reminders and logging a dose from your wrist. Pill Reminder's App Store page does not list a Watch app.
- Dose windows. A dose inside the window you set still counts as on time.
- Insights and a PDF report (Pro). See your on-time rate and patterns, connect them with Apple Health metrics and take a report to an appointment.
- Prescription label scanning. Add a medication by scanning its label.
Which should you choose?
Choose Pill Reminder All in One if you want the lowest one-off price, use an iPad or manage several people in one app.
